Integrated E-Health Management:
Canadian Health Care Renewal the Right Way
By Phillip A. Jost and Duana Wheatley
Jost and Wheatley suggest that renewing Canada’s health system can be achieved through integrated e-health management. Their discussion looks at the various barriers and challenges that Canada’s current system presents, including the need for a different way of thinking about health delivery. They suggest that the solutions have already been provided through the various national health commission reports and in major recommendations from the Health Council of Canada. The authors present their management vision through a case study that demonstrates how care delivery can work in an integrated e-health model. Their vision is also illustrated graphically and, along with their discussion, makes for an interesting point of view about Canada’s health delivery system.
